Support the implementation of procurement strategies and take responsibility where allocated. Support SRM activities to drive commodity strategies creation and cost reduction plans. Identify and develop new supply chains as required to support business objectives. Contribute to producing commercial modelling and pricing proposals. Maintain close working relationships with the cross-functional teams.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage quotation requests from the client on a daily basis in line with SLA.
- Organise the purchasing mailbox, solving queries and escalating to the buyers where appropriate.
- Prepare enquiries and co-ordinate responses from suppliers.
- Perform administrative duties that support the Purchasing team in delivering key business objectives and maintain the efficiency of the Purchasing function.
- Support the operational supply function with problem resolution within the supply chain as appropriate.
- Assist the buyers in ensuring client requests are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Expedite quotes with new and existing suppliers.
- Take ownership of delegated tasks through to completion.
- Manage suppliers and cost reduction projects with support provided.
- Provide actionable summary information to the buyers.
- Develop value-adding relationships with cross-functional departments and suppliers.
- Identify process improvements.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Confident and effective communicator to all stakeholders.
- Computer literacy, especially strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and able to analyse data.
