This role will diagnose and repair technical equipment while delivering exceptional customer service.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing service, repair, training and customer support for Ambersphere product lines while ensuring all work meets company quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electronic equipment and mechanical components that are damaged, malfunctioning, or require replacement.
  • Perform quality control inspections on repaired and serviced equipment.
  • Support customers via telephone, email, CRM systems, and other communication channels.
  • Prioritise repair activities and communicate repair status updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate service records, labour tracking, and inventory documentation.
  • Create and maintain internal and customer-facing service documentation.
  • Deliver on‑site service support and technical training when required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in live event production, electronics repair, maintenance, or fixture installation, or a minimum of one year as a Service Technician with similar products.
  • MS Office Suite proficiency (Excel, and Word).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair technical equipment.
  • Experience using diagnostic and repair tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, DMX testers, and soldering equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to travel to support customer service and training requirements. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport and driver's license.

  • Continually required to utilise hand and finger dexterity.
  • Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
  • Continually works near moving mechanical parts.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
