We are seeking an experienced Head of UK and Ireland to lead our commercial organization in UKI (Total revenue of ~100 mln EUR) and play a pivotal role as community leader for the UKI region. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing the commercial plan for your own geographical market area, ensuring the achievement of agreed sales objectives and sustainable business growth. This position offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping commercial strategy, driving sales performance, and developing organizational capabilities within a global business framework.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Commercial Strategy & Management
- Develop and implement a long-term commercial focus on external partnerships, strategic investments, and innovation (3+ years ahead).
- Translate the regional strategy into concrete operational plans for your market or segment, and ensure their effective execution.
- Take full ownership of the commercial P&L performance within your region and provide clear direction to your team to achieve strategic objectives.
- Monitor results, take corrective actions where required, and drive the achievement of annual business targets.
- Administrative signatory implications aligned to the DOA (Delegation of Authority) within the headquarters.
- Involvement in M&A process and discussions.
- Overall Guardian of country compliance.
- Full end-to-end (P&L) ownership (across functions) for independent opco's.
- Customer & Stakeholder Relationship Development
- Establish and maintain a strong professional network with senior stakeholders within the industry.
- Represent the organization at business sector events, enhance corporate reputation, and identify opportunities for growth.
- Design and implement structured relationship management plans for high-value potential customer accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to support business development and effective issue resolution.
- Work in a global matrix organization requiring management of multiple reporting lines and strong stakeholder management.
- Budgeting, Insights & Reporting
- Contribute to the development of annual budgets and ensure effective delivery of financial commitments.
- Lead the design and execution of complex reporting strategies.
- Interpret market and business trends, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
- People Management and Organizational Capability building
- Lead a commercial team of internal and external sales leaders and advisors (+60 people in total) across different locations in the UK and Ireland region and in Belgium.
- Promote a culture of performance, collaboration, and professional excellence.
- Identify development needs within the team and implement both formal and informal initiatives to strengthen professional capabilities.
- Provide mentorship and knowledge-sharing across the organization to foster continuous improvement.
