This is a remarkable opportunity to play a key role in the growth of a rapidly expanding and unique organisation – the Institute of Art and Ideas.

Described by The Guardian as “the return to big thinking” and by Total Politics as “Europe’s answer to TED,” the Institute of Art and Ideas (IAI) is home to IAI. tv, a leading global educational platform delivering high‑quality video lectures, debates, and courses from the world’s foremost thinkers, scientists, artists, and policymakers.

With an audience of hundreds of millions worldwide, the IAI is redefining how bold ideas are shared and taught across borders.

Alongside its digital platform, the IAI also curates How The Light Gets In, the world’s largest philosophy and music festival, bringing its mission of accessible thought and dialogue to live audiences year‑round.

This role will span a number of projects, including IAI. tv - a one of a kind media outlet and home to thousands of videos, articles, courses, and events; and How The Light Gets In Festival - the world's biggest festival of philosophy and music.

The successful applicant will have a wide range of digital marketing responsibilities, including but not limited to: social media marketing, email marketing and introductory SEO.

There will also be opportunities for copywriting and content creation and to be involved in PR campaigns and strategies as your role progresses.

Applicants for this position will need to demonstrate exceptional academic results (min. 2.1 from a top university).

You should be a good communicator (verbal and writing), with the ability to write short, accessible, and engaging copy.

You should demonstrate a genuine interest in digital marketing, ideally with evidence of working on successful campaigns either in a professional role or to promote your own projects.

Familiarity with analytics software such as Google Analytics would be highly advantageous.

Some background in philosophy is highly desirable.

We recommend candidates view IAI. tv content prior to interview as we are looking for a candidate that understands our ideas well enough to market them successfully.

You will need to show the ability to modify your style to fit the circumstances and the target audience, and to be responsive to web performance statistics.

The role will enable you to develop and hone skills in publicity and social media, and requires a high level of intellectual rigor and creativity.

Above all, we are looking for an individual with flair and drive who is excited by the work of the IAI.

At the IAI, we are focused on supporting your career progression and wellbeing.

In joining our team, you will also become eligible for our range of benefits, including our pension scheme, private healthcare insurance cashback scheme, hybrid working, Cycle to Work, frequent company socials and biannual parties, gym and How The Light Gets In festival ticket discounts, and more!

We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace, and actively support and encourage people from a variety of backgrounds, experiences and skill sets to join us and help shape what we do.
