This is an exciting opportunity to join our Project Management Team, working with the latest technologies at the forefront of the Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) industry.
The role is based at our laboratory testing facilities in Segensworth, Fareham. The core market sectors include Defence, Aerospace, and Rail. As a Project Manager, you will manage client and business expectations during test and certification projects to ensure they meet contractual deliverables, timelines, and budget constraints. The testing focuses on components used in transport applications, including laboratory environmental testing, mechanical shock, vibration, packaging testing, defence and civil EMC testing, battery testing, RF, product safety, and SAR testing. You will ensure the final test report is delivered accurately and promptly to support client qualification programs.

Your experience may come from within the testing industry or through product qualification exposure via external Test House suppliers or in-house testing within the core sectors mentioned.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Act as the principal intermediary between the client and testing facilities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, maintaining profit margins and resolving any issues affecting profitability.
- Manage client expectations and provide detailed project plans to track progress.
- Coordinate with test supervisors to ensure timely delivery of test samples and documentation, facilitating smooth workflow and problem solving.
- Manage projects to ensure contractual deliverables are met for prompt and accurate invoicing.
- Maintain accurate and current project forecasts using the business project management tools.
- Ensure full and compliant use of business tools.
- Coordinate internal resources, subcontractors, third-party vendors, and equipment hire to schedule projects effectively.
- Visit clients as needed.
- Handle all administrative tasks related to project delivery.
Essential Criteria – the successful candidate will have/demonstrate:
- Knowledge of laboratory-based product testing or experience in product qualification with external or in-house testing.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Consistent delivery, contingency planning, and proactive improvement.
- Understanding of customer needs and enhancing customer experience.
- Basic financial and commercial understanding, including profit drivers.
- Balance of technical judgment and commercial awareness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business tools.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
