About the Property Department
The Residential and Commercial Property and Probate department is based at our offices in Whitechapel & Clapham Junction. We currently have 12 members of staff in the department and are looking to expand to build upon the current success of the department. We have a strong commitment to training our staff. We deliver regular internal training courses for staff of all levels of experience and invite staff to attend external training courses of their choice.
The Opportunity:
TV Edwards LLP seeks to appoint a full-time Property Solicitor to join the Whitechapel team. The successful candidate will have experience of a variety of non-contentious property work. Experience of building up your own caseload and developing a network of contacts, clients and repeat business with an interest in continuing to build on this in your new role is ideal. This role has excellent potential for further career development.
Description of Role
You will be responsible (with support) for running a varied property caseload and building and maintaining client relations which are key to our success. Knowledge of the law relating to residential property matters and an interest and experience in generating work, building a client base and developing relationships is essential. There is also the potential for commercial property work for an interested candidate.
Person Specification
- 5 yrs PQE ideally with experience in residential property. Commercial experience also welcomed.
- Ability to communicate exceptionally with the firm’s established clients and network of professional contacts.
- Experience of or willingness to support, assist and develop other members of the team, including junior Solicitors and Trainees/Apprentices.
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience of building up an established client base and a network of contacts and referrers.
- Ability to prioritise and work efficiently under pressure.
- Problem solving ability.
- Good IT skills and experience of working within a case management system.
- Experience of working towards and meeting targets is essential.
- Experience of marketing or networking.
