Position Summary
A development role for an individual to develop into a Vertical Transportation consultant incorporating design, project management to major clients and projects as well as support of international operations.
Responsibilities And Authority
- International & Special projects
- Supporting client relationships with key customers.
- Supporting the generation of new clients and projects.
- Supporting Client account management activities.
- Preparation of fee proposals, invoicing and credit control for projects and service client responsibilities.
- Client presentations.
- Input into building design using traffic analysis to establish traffic strategy and provide planning advice to designers.
- Produce RIBA stage VT reports.
- CAD and BIM drawing and documentation production.
- Producing Excel spreadsheet reports, graphs and data.
- Produce client reports with recommendations and solutions.
- Produce technical and performance specifications.
- Analysis of contractor proposals and production of tender reports.
- Supporting Wider Region
- Develop practical competencies with respect to V.T. equipment knowledge on Safe Working / Access & Egress to enable surveying of equipment.
- Site survey, evaluation and assessment of existing lift and escalator installations.
- Project support of refurbishment and new installations.
- Quality auditing of existing installations for maintenance reporting.
- Project CDM Support.
Essential Specific skills, knowledge, competencies and training
- HND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Engineering Core Skills / Appreciation
- Client facing and confident in meetings.
- Demonstrable ability to produce technical reports.
- Production of meeting minutes.
- IT literate.
Desirable
- VT engineering practical experience
- Traffic analysis and planning experience
- Prior VT Consultancy experience.
- MSc in an Engineering discipline.
- Façade Access knowledge and awareness.
- Account Management experience for major national client/portfolio.
- Knowledge of MF/1 contract.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Qualified and experienced Lift Engineer to Technician/NVQ4, management experience.
- Commercial experience (sales).
- Project management experience of lift installations (refurbishment/Installation).
- Health and safety qualification (Nebosh NGC/NCC or similar).
