Job Description:

Position Summary:

TÜV SÜD America is seeking a Sales Hunter Account Executive to support its Newmarket, Ontario operations in environmental testing and Li-ion battery testing. This role requires collaboration with the sales team, lab experts, and management, with a focus on understanding Li-ion battery test specifications.

This position is based in Newmarket, Ontario, and targets markets including energy storage, automotive, trucks, off-road, marine, military, and aerospace.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new customers and markets, focusing on sales growth and market share expansion.
  • Build relationships with clients, serving as a technical liaison and understanding their needs.
  • Draft test plans, develop technical presentations, and stay informed of industry standards.
  • Participate in industry organizations and share insights with the team.
  • Manage quotations, follow-up activities, and CRM records.
  • Conduct site visits and customer discovery discussions.
  • Travel up to 25% within North America.

The role includes services such as battery testing, environmental testing, certification, and post-test analysis.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor\’s in Business or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five years in business development or sales, with proven results.
  • Experience in target markets, with non-automotive experience considered a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the Li-ion battery market and laboratory testing.
  • Understanding of financial issues and business fundamentals.
  • Strong communication, organizational skills, and customer focus.
  • Basic experience with CRM software.
