TÜV SÜD are looking for a Project Accountant to join the Controlling Team. You will provide financial support for the Product Service Division, especially the Lab business, alongside other entities within Northern Europe. This is a 12-month maternity cover contract.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of monthly profit and loss accounts for Product Service Division
- Accounting for all projects, monitoring Work-in-Progress (WIP) and completion of regular cost at completion reviews
- Controlling and monitoring of all projects in conjunction with local project managers
- Monthly accrual/prepayment postings for overseas entities where required
- Variance analysis and commentary
- Preparation of financial and management reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis to tight Group deadlines
- Support any audit requirements, year-end statutory or otherwise
- Support Group Internal Controls Requirements and Transfer Pricing policies
- Participate in monthly and quarterly reviews of balance sheet reconciliations
- Financial support for R&D Claim process where required
- Assist in preparation of rolling financial business plans and regular business forecasts, adhering to tight deadlines
- Support with general financial topics within the division and business where required
- Work as an integral member of the Finance function and provide ad hoc administrative support when necessary
- Undertaking additional or other duties, as may be required by the business from time to time, as directed by your line manager
Essential Criteria – you will have:
- Part or Fully Qualified Accountant with experience in management and/or project accounting.
- Experience with SAP is preferred but not essential.
- Travel for one week on a quarterly basis may be required.
- Self-motivated person with good attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and time management skills are key in a successful applicant with the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
