Role Overview: The Vertical Transportation Consultant role incorporates design, project management and maintenance account management services to major clients and projects. This role is advertised as a Vertical Transportation Consultant on our website. Main Duties & Responsibilities: * Site surveys, evaluation and assessment of existing lift and escalator installations * Produce client reports with recommendations and solutions * Produce technical and performance specifications * Analysis of contractor proposals and production of tender reports * Project management of refurbishment and new installations * Quality auditing of existing installations for maintenance reporting * Principal designer duties * Client account management – liaising with contractors to ensure delivery of their contracted services * Preparation of fee proposals, invoicing and credit control for projects and service client responsibilities * Seeking and generating new clients and projects * Producing Excel spreadsheet reports, graphs, and data * Proofreading technical reports * Assist in debt chasing * Assist in completion of PQQ and tender questionnaires and documentation Essential Criteria: * Previous experience in lift industry operational roles * BTEC HNC Mechanical or Electrical, or higher qualification * Account management experience for major national client/portfolio * Knowledge of MF/1 contract * Previous VT experience * Knowledge of MS Excel * Lift management experience * Commercial experience (sales) * Health and safety qualification, EOR202 safe working on lifts a minimum * Demonstrable ability to produce client reports Desirable Criteria: * Experience with traffic analysis * Qualified and experienced site-based Lift Engineer to Technician NVQ4 or equivalent Further Information: TÜV SÜD in the UK offers a competitive salary and benefits package that includes a minimum of 33 days holiday entitlement (for full-time employees, including public holidays), a contributory Group Personal Pension Plan and a non-contributory Group Life Assurance Scheme.
