Job Summary:
We are looking for a Test Engineer. The role will focus on Test and Inspection of client’s large industrial machines and semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This role is responsible for completing all aspects of regulatory compliance testing and reporting on client products using EN/UL/CSA & SEMI standards. Qualified candidates interested to combine responsibility for testing on state‑of‑the‑art machines utilizing cutting edge technology and participating in the development of industry safety standards to ensure the technology of tomorrow is safe, are encouraged to apply for immediate consideration.
Job Description:
- Meet test objectives by determining testing methods and selecting testing equipment.
- Ensure customer test criteria is correctly interpreted and applied.
- Interpret and apply applicable test standards.
- Perform tests for certification of equipment to applicable domestic or international regulatory standards and regulatory compliance regulations; advise customers of non‑compliance.
- Develop test strategies and test plans to verify standards, compatibility, functionality, performance and reliability.
- Validate proper design and operations of product features as defined by functional specifications.
- Report and track defects found during testing.
- Record test data, technical information and other details.
- Generate and revise test documents and reports (SOP’s, datasheets, methods, etc.).
- Establish and maintain professional relationship with customers.
- Participate in and promote process improvement.
- Participate in creating and evaluating new product test requirements and test strategies.
- Liaise with other global laboratories to ensure consistency and accuracy of methods and interpretations.
- Perform other duties and complete other special projects as assigned.
What we expect of you:

- Knowledge of Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER).
- Ability to travel to client sites including mainland Europe. Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks while meeting or exceeding deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office tools.
Education:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent technical education and directly‑related experience. Regulatory Testing training.
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of directly‑related test experience evaluating products in accordance with regulatory standards. Experience with EU Directives – Machinery and Low Voltage Directives. Experience with standards including NFPA 79, UL508A, IEC/EN/UL/CSA 61010‑1, EN 60204, EN ISO 10218, ANSI/RIA R15.06, SEMI Guidelines (S2 and S8). Functional safety experience, ability to evaluate to EN ISO 13849 & IEC 62061. Experience with PUWER.
