Job Overview
Temporary position based in Thetford. Pay ranges from £12.50 to £14.00 per hour, with overtime after 8 hrs at £14.00. You will receive 28 days paid holiday pro-rata, weekly pay, and a minimum guaranteed pay of 8 hrs per day. Successful completion of the probation period may allow upskilling to HGV. A referral bonus is available for bringing a friend to the team.
Responsibilities
- You will be making deliveries in a 3.5-tonne vehicle to homes and businesses around the East Anglian region.
- Start times are generally between 6 am and 8 am, Monday to Friday; weekends may be required.
- Flexible days are available.
- This position is commutable from Bury St Edmunds, Brandon, Newmarket, and nearby areas to Thetford.
Qualifications
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence – Cat B +1 year experience in van driving
- Customer-service focused with good interpersonal skills
- Conscientious, polite, reliable, able to work independently
- Ability to use in-cab technology such as PDA scanners
- Previous commercial van driving experience preferred
- Own transport to travel to assignments
- Capacity for manual handling and heavy lifting tasks
