Make a Real Impact as a Functional Skills English Tutor. Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students with EAL needs? We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors. You’ll provide personalised, 1:1 support in Functional Skills English for Level 1 students. These in-person sessions in Uxbridge offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.
This job is in-person in the Uxbridge area.

What You'll Do
- Provide 1:1 tuition that is appropriate for the individual's needs and study level
- Plan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student
- Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Monitor progress, produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in
- Regularly report updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree
- 1+ years of tutoring/teaching experience
- Experience working with students with EAL needs
- An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The right to be self-employed in the UK
