Make a Real Impact as a Secondary Tutor. Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students? We are looking for an experienced and dedicated tutor with SEN experience. You'll provide personalised, 1-1 or group support in English for Secondary students. These in-person sessions in Haringey offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.
This job is in-person in the Haringey area.
- Hour(s): up to 2 hours per week
- Day(s) and Time(s): Monday, Wednesday or Friday mornings
- Subjects and Level: KS3 English
- Start date: Immediate
- Rate of pay: £30 p/hr
What You'll Do
- Provide 1:1 or group tuition that is appropriate for the individuals/groups needs and study level
- Plan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student
- Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Monitor progress, produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in
- Regularly report updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of tutoring / teaching experience
- Experience working with students with SEN/ SEMH needs
- An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The right to be self-employed in the UK
