Make a Real Impact as a Functional Skills Maths Tutor. Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students with SEN needs? We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors who’ll provide personalised, 1:1 support for students in Functional Skills Level 1 Maths. These in-person sessions in Enfield offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.
This job is in person in the Enfield area.
- Hour(s): 2 hours per week.
- Contract Length: 8 weeks.
- Available Day(s) and Time(s): Monday mornings, Wednesday & Friday early afternoons.
- Subject and Level: Functional Skills Maths, Level 1.
- Start Date: Immediate.
- Rate of Pay: £30 p/h.
What You'll Do:
- Provide tuition that is appropriate for the individuals/groups needs and study level.
- Plan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Provide targeted support for students.
- Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor progress, produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in.
- Regularly report updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- 1+ years of tutoring / teaching experience.
- An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The right to be self employed in the UK.
