Make a Real Impact as a Chemistry and Biology Tutor. Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students with SEN needs? We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors who’ll provide personalised, 1:1 support for students in A Level Biology and Chemistry. These in-person sessions in Hackney offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.

- Hours: 2 hours per week.
- Contract Length: 8 weeks.
- Available Days and Times: Monday - Friday, during school hours.
- Subjects and Level: Biology & Chemistry, A Level.
- Start Date: Immediate.
- Rate of Pay: £32.50 p/h.
What You'll Do:
- Provide tuition that is appropriate for the individuals/groups needs and study level.
- Plan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Provide targeted support for students.
- Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor progress, produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in.
- Regularly report updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- 2+ years of tutoring / teaching experience.
- Experience working with students with SEN and/or SEMH needs.
- An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The right to be self-employed in the UK.
