Make a Real Impact as an Early Years Tutor. Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students with SEN or SEMH needs? We are looking for an experienced and dedicated SEN tutor with a proven track record of success in delivering speech, language, and communication activities. Our tutors are skilled at developing and delivering engaging and informative lesson plans, assessing student learning, and providing academic support. They are also effective communicators and have a strong ability to build relationships with students.

This job is in person in the Hackney area.

Day(s) and Time(s): Weekdays // 10:30am - 12:00pm

Hour(s): Initially 7.5 hours per week, building up to 15 hours per week

Subject and Level: EYFS Communication and Language Skills

Start date: Immediate start

Rate of pay: £35p/h

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and deliver tuition programmes in small groups or 1:1
  • Provide tuition that is appropriate for the individuals/groups needs and study level
  • Assessing any barriers to student’s learning and working to overcome these
  • Monitoring student progress and producing reports
  • Creating a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you’re providing subject tuition in
  • Regularly reporting updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or Specialist SEN Training
  • 2+ years of tutoring / teaching experience
  • Experience working with students on the autism spectrum
  • Experience working with students who have communication difficulties
  • An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The right to be self employed in the UK
