Make a Real Impact as a GCSE Science and English Tutor. Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students with SEN or SEHM needs? We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors. You'll provide personalised, 1:1 support in Science and English for GCSE students. These in-person sessions in Gillingham offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.

  • Times: During school hours

What You'll Do

  • Provide tuition that is appropriate for the individual needs and study level.
  • Plan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide targeted support for students.
  • Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor progress, produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in.
  • Regularly report updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager.

We're looking for someone who has

  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • 1+ years of tutoring / teaching experience.
  • Experience working with students with SEN and/or SEMH needs.
  • An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The right to be self-employed in the UK.
