Make a Real Impact as a Science Tutor. Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students with SEN or SEHM needs? We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors. You'll provide personalised, 1:1 support in Science for GCSE students. These in-person sessions in Hammersmith and Fulham offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.

This job is in-person in the Hammersmith and Fulham area.

  • Day(s): Mondays
  • Time(s): After 4:30pm (1hr per week)
  • Subject and Level: GCSE Science
  • Start date: Immediate Start
  • Contract length: 10 weeks
  • Rate of pay: £30 p/hr

What You'll Do

  • Provide 1 hour of tuition a week that is appropriate for the individuals/groups needs and study level
  • Plan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student
  • Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Monitor progress, produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in
  • Regularly report updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager

We're looking for someone who has:

  • A Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years of tutoring / teaching experience
  • An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The right to be self-employed in the UK
