Make a Real Impact as a GCSE Geography Tutor. Are you a warm, friendly educator, making a difference in the lives of students with SEND needs? We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors who'll provide personalized, 1:1 support for students in GCSE Geography. These in-person sessions in Hackney offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.

This job is in person in the Hackney area.

Hours: 4 hours per week

Contract Length: Indefinite

Available Days and Times: Monday - Friday, after 11am

Subject and Level: GCSE Geography

Start Date: Immediate

Rate of Pay: £35 p/h

What You'll Do:

  • Provide tuition that is appropriate for the individual's needs and study level
  • Plan engaging lessons tailored to each student's unique needs
  • Provide targeted support for students
  • Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Monitor progress, produce reports, and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks for the subject
  • Regularly report updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum qualification of A-Level Geography (or equivalent)
  • 2+ years of tutoring/teaching experience
  • Experience working with students with SEND or SEMH is preferred
  • Experience working with students with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) is preferred
  • Ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Right to be self-employed in the UK
