Make a real impact as a GCSE English Tutor
Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students with SEMH needs? We are looking for an experienced and dedicated tutor. Youβll provide personalised 1:1 support in English for GCSE students. These in-person sessions in Sidcup offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.
- This job is in-person in the Sidcup area
- Hour(s): 1-2hrs per week
- Day(s) and Time(s): Friday evenings between 4-6pm
- Subject and Level: GCSE English
- Pay: Β£35 p/h
- Start date: ASAP
- Contract Length: approx 8 weeks
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver tuition programmes in small groups or 1:1
- Provide tuition that is appropriate for the individuals/groups needs and study level
- Assess barriers to student learning and work to overcome these
- Monitor student progress and produce reports
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks for the subject you are providing tuition in
- Regularly report updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager
To be successful in this role, you should have
- Bachelor\\\βs degree
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs
- 1+ years of tutoring / teaching experience
- Ability to work with students of all abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Right to be self employed in the UK
