Make a Real Impact as a GCSE History Tutor. Are you a warm, friendly educator, making a difference in the lives of students? We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors who’ll provide personalised, 1:1 support for students in IGCSE History. These in‑person sessions in Shepherd’s Bush offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.

- Location: in person in the Shepherd’s Bush area.
- Hours: 1 hour per week.
- Contract Length: Indefinite.
- Available Day(s) and Time(s): Monday or Wednesday after 5pm.
- Subject and Level: IGCSE History.
- Start Date: June 2026.
- Rate of Pay: £30 p/h.
What You’ll Do
- Provide tuition that is appropriate for the individual’s needs and study level.
- Plan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Provide targeted support for students.
- Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor progress, produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you’re providing tuition in.
- Regularly report updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager.
We’re Looking for Someone Who Has
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- A minimum qualification of A‑Level History (or equivalent).
- 2+ years of tutoring or teaching experience.
- Experience working with students with SEN is preferred.
- An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The right to be self‑employed in the UK.
