Started in 2018 by Syd, a qualified teacher and Head of Department, with 8 years of classroom teaching experience, the business has quickly expanded its services throughout London. With a focus on clear pedagogy, effective planning, and a friendly and professional approach, Tutoring with Syd is committed to helping young people learn, and training tutors to become more than that: teachers.
We are looking for tutors of a range of subjects to join our tutoring family to start in the new academic year.

Deliver sessions online and in-person around West London. Ongoing CPD through our bespoke tutor-training programme delivered by experienced classroom teachers. Client communications and admin dealt with by management – you just focus on the teaching.
Pay: £32.50‑£75 per hour depending on previous experience & qualifications, with potential to increase as you develop with us.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's (or further) degree in your specialist subject from a UK university.
- No tutoring experience required; any level of experience is welcome.
- Must live in the UK, have right‑to‑work in the UK and a UK bank account.
- Must be willing to commit to sessions in-person as well as online.
- Passion for your subject and supporting young people in achieving their outcomes.
- Eager to develop your own teaching skills with a positive attitude to receiving feedback and learning from others.
- Highly reliable, committed to the sessions agreed to, communicating issues whenever they arise.
- Highly proficient in written English to write session reports in a professional and grammatically correct way.
- Must be able to commit to at least one year with the business.
