Tutoring Ambitions is looking for passionate, reliable and engaging tutors to join our growing online tutoring platform. Tutoring Ambitions was created to give every learner the opportunity to reach their full potential — especially those who may need a different pace, approach or style of teaching to thrive. We are currently recruiting tutors across a range of popular subjects and levels, including:

• Primary support: English, Maths, phonics, reading, writing and SATs preparation
• Secondary and GCSE: English Language, English Literature, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Combined Science
• A-Level subjects: including English, Maths, Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, Business and Economics
• Entrance exams: 11+ preparation and independent school entrance support
• Languages and humanities: French, Spanish, German, EAL, History, Geography and Religious Studies
• Creative, digital and specialist support: Art, Music, Drama, Media Studies, Computer Science, coding, SEN support, Functional Skills, study skills, revision and exam preparation

We are especially keen to hear from tutors who can support core subjects, exam preparation, SEN learners and students who may benefit from a more personalised approach to learning.

As a tutor with Tutoring Ambitions, you will have the flexibility to offer online one-to-one lessons, group sessions and specialist subject support, with the option to create and sell your own online courses through the platform. You will be able to set your own rates, manage your availability and work with learners in a way that suits your skills, experience and expertise. Duties and responsibilities

As an online tutor with Tutoring Ambitions, you may be responsible for:

• Delivering engaging online tutoring sessions in your chosen subject area
• Supporting learners with confidence, subject knowledge, revision, exam preparation and study skills
• Adapting your teaching style to suit each learner’s pace, level and needs
• Preparing suitable lesson content, activities and resources where needed
• Creating a positive, encouraging and professional online learning environment
• Communicating clearly and respectfully with learners and, where appropriate, parents/carers
• Managing your availability, bookings and profile through the platform
• Following Tutoring Ambitions’ safeguarding policy, tutor code of conduct and online tutoring expectations
• Taking part in onboarding and regular tutor training to support quality, safeguarding and best practice
• Creating online courses, learning resources or group classes, where suitable

We are looking for tutors who can bring learning to life — whether that means explaining algebra clearly, making phonics fun, helping a GCSE student feel less overwhelmed, or giving a learner the confidence to try again.

Experience and qualifications

We welcome applications from people with different education backgrounds, provided you have strong subject knowledge, professionalism and a genuine passion for supporting learners. You may have:

• Previous tutoring or teaching experience
• Experience as a teaching assistant, learning support assistant or SEN support worker
• A relevant degree or subject-specific qualification
• A teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS or equivalent
• Experience supporting children, young people or adult learners
• Experience preparing students for exams or entrance assessments
• Confidence using online teaching tools or video calls
• Experience creating learning resources, online courses or educational content

For tutors working with children and young people, an Enhanced DBS check is required. Tutors must either have an Enhanced DBS registered on the DBS Update Service, or be willing to complete a new Enhanced DBS check as part of onboarding. All successful tutors will need to complete tutor checks before going live on the platform, including identity, address, qualification and DBS verification. Tutor applicants will also be asked to submit a short 2–5 minute mini lesson video as part of the application process.
