About the Role
We are looking for experienced tutors and teachers to tutor Maths GCSE & A-level students. The teaching will take place online and range from 1 to 4 students in a session. You will be expected to create and plan your sessions based on the students' requirements. You must hold a current teaching qualification.
The role is flexible and you get to decide your hours, although we are looking for people who are willing to teach two evenings per week between the hours of 4 pm & 8 pm. There will be opportunities to work outside of these hours as well, including weekends if preferred.
As you would be part of a new small team of tutors who are employed directly by Tutorful, there would be an opportunity for you to help shape how the team works and grows going forward. This role will start from mid-August, ready for the new school term in September.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create & plan lessons based on the individual students' needs and in line with the national curriculum
- Conduct introduction calls with potential parents to understand their child's needs
- Work closely with the Tutorful support team to manage lessons and communicate with parents and students
- Respond quickly and professionally to offers of work both from Tutorful and students
- Be punctual, prepared and dependable
What we are looking for:
- Qualified teacher status
- Minimum of 1 year teaching maths in a classroom setting
- In-depth subject knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum at GCSE & A-level for maths
- Hold a clean, Enhanced DBS Check dated in the last 2 years, or be registered on the update service
- Able to teach 2 evenings a week (Mon-Thur) between the hours of 4pm & 8pm
- Have the right to work in the UK
