About The Role

Looking to build your CPD, share best practice with a community of subject experts and further inspire your teaching? AQA is recruiting A-level History examiners for summer 2026. This flexible role fits alongside a full-time teaching job and is completed online from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review student responses and apply the mark scheme accurately and consistently to ensure fair results.
  • Commit an average of 15 to 20 hours a week to marking during the exam period.
  • Mark around 100 A-level papers.
  • Complete your marking over approximately one month.

Full details of your allocation, deadlines and earnings will be confirmed when you receive your contract.
