Tutor - The Role: We are growing rapidly and are looking for tutors in all core subjects to join our team. Our students are as diverse as our community, and we actively seek tutors who can meet the varied academic and emotional needs of learners, including those with SEN (Special Educational Needs) and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) challenges.
You’ll play a key role in helping students achieve their potential through tailored tutoring. The role offers flexibility, with a mix of daytime work in schools and evening/weekend sessions in students' homes. The amount of work available depends on how much you’re looking to take on.
Tutor - Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-to-one tutoring sessions in students' homes, libraries, or schools
- Prepare and plan materials for lessons, ensuring sessions are tailored to individual needs
- Provide feedback via timely session reports using our internal CRM system
- Teach a range of subjects, including primary-level topics, GCSE, A-Level, and 11+/Common Entrance preparation
- Manage a flexible schedule with assignments local to your area
Tutor - You:
- Previous tutoring experience is preferred but not essential
- Degree-level qualification or in the final year of university studies
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with students of all ages and abilities
- Willingness to travel to South East London for face-to-face tutoring (travel expenses not reimbursed)
- A valid DBS certificate is required (we can assist with obtaining one)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be fluent in English (both written and verbal)
- You must be eligible to work in the UK as a self-employed individual
- Responsible for managing your own tax returns
