This is a fully flexible hybrid role for a Tutor based in Bolton, Wigan, Hindley or surrounding areas with flexible work-from-home options. Work hours to suit you, full time or part time, whatever matches your schedule. The Tutor is responsible for delivering personalized one-to-one academic support in various settings, including in-home, online, and in-school environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting initial assessments
- Developing tailored lesson plans
- Providing targeted academic instruction
- Tracking student progress
- Supporting students with different learning needs and adapting teaching strategies to suit each learner’s goals and styles
Qualifications:
- Strong subject expertise and the ability to deliver instruction in core academic subjects (can specialise in any subject but predominantly looking for Maths, English or Sciences)
- DBS check is essential
- Experience in supporting students of varying abilities, including those with special educational needs (SEND) is a plus
- Can be focussed on either KS1 to KS5 and beyond
- Skills in developing customized lesson plans and effective teaching strategies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills for engaging with students and families
- Flexibility to adapt to both in-person and virtual tutoring settings
- Organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple students or sessions
- Previous experience in education, teaching, or a tutoring role is highly desirable
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in education or a related field is a plus
