Tutor Doctor Cambridge and Norwich are seeking experienced Tutors to work in-person and online with schools and families in the Cambridge and Norwich area. We are looking for tutors in all subjects but particularly Primary Literacy and Numeracy, and Maths, Science and English at GCSE and A Level.

About Tutor Doctor Cambridge and Norwich: Tutor Doctor started in Cambridge in summer 2010 and since then we have tutored over 5000 students and are continuing to grow at an extraordinary pace by offering the very best service available in 1-to-1 in-home tutoring from Primary age through to A Level for all subjects. We opened our Norwich branch in spring 2020 with the aim of following our Cambridge success. We are increasingly working with schools and colleges during the school day, covering various GCSE subjects for students who have gaps that need filling outside of the classroom. We are also an accredited NTP and Alternative Provision provider for Cambridgeshire and Norfolk County Councils.

The approach at Tutor Doctor is different to other tutoring businesses, primarily because of the service we offer. We meet all potential customers to really understand their needs so they can be matched to the right tutor with the student. This also means that all houses tutors go into have been pre-vetted, so your experience will be safe and enjoyable. This is a great opportunity for extra income with flexible hours, and can work alongside any independent tutoring you are already doing.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering 1:1 tutoring sessions at the student's home (generally evenings and weekends)
  • Delivering 1:1 or small group sessions in schools (generally during the school day)
  • Preparing and delivering tutoring sessions to best meet your student's academic needs and goals
  • Clarifying and teaching subject matter
  • Assessing student's knowledge on a regular basis

Qualifications and skills:

Educated to degree level but you don’t necessarily need to be a qualified teacher, however experience in tutoring is essential. Most importantly we are looking for individuals who have the passion and capability to help others learn and fulfil their potential, of course backed up by expertise in their subject.
