Tutor Doctor Buckinghamshire is a local business that is part of the Tutor Doctor network. We deliver one-to-one education in the student's home, local to you, and online. This role will require, but is not limited to, in-school tuition. Thus, candidates should preferably be able to tutor during school hours. This is a fantastic opportunity to earn some extra income outside 9-5 (though some work is available then). You choose your own hours, while also doing something that makes a real difference in another person's life. Requirements
- You live or work in Buckinghamshire, or the Bucks side of Herts, or NW London (Ruislip, Pinner, Northwood, Denham etc).
- You are reliable, hard working, patient, understanding and have a positive attitude.
- You are able and willing to work with a variety of students, including SEN students with EHCPs.
- You have extensive knowledge of the UK curriculum.
- You have at least 2 years' relevant work experience.
- You can deliver quality one to one tuition in family homes, schools or designated areas.
- You can develop lesson plans to deliver predetermined plans and objectives.
- You can deliver innovative tutorials using resources and materials to suit each student's needs.
- You are willing to keep records of students' progress and able to give us weekly updates of your records.
- You are willing to adhere to our policies and procedures and maintain Tutor Doctor's values and high-quality service.
- You are willing to complete the Tutor Doctor Orientation.
Education Requirements
- A Level Minimum Grade A-B in English
- Bachelor's degree in English Journalism, Communications, or a qualification with an English component
- TEFL/TESOL certificate
- Teaching qualification
Other Requirements
- An Enhanced DBS check is required. We can arrange this for you.
- You need to have completed, or be willing to complete, safeguarding training and prevent training.
- You need to provide us with the contact details of at least two references we can get in touch with.
