About the Role: As Motorsport & Events Director, you will provide strategic leadership for one of the world's most respected names in historic and contemporary motorsport. As a member of Tuthill's Senior Management Team, you will shape the future direction of the Motorsport & Events function, driving commercial performance, operational excellence and organisational capability to support the company's continued growth.

Leading a talented multidisciplinary team, you will oversee Tuthill's international motorsport and events portfolio, including race, rally, testing and customer programmes such as Below Zero Ice Driving, Rally With No Name, the East African Safari Classic Rally, Porsche Sprint Challenge GB, the Tuthill 2.0L Cup programme and future global driving experiences. You will also identify, develop and lead new areas of business, expanding Tuthill's presence into modern motorsport programmes and new competitive disciplines, with ambitions spanning categories such as the World Rally Championship (WRC), Dakar and Le Mans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and deliver the strategic direction of the Motorsport & Events function, aligned with Tuthill's long-term commercial objectives.
  • Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing Motorsport & Events team, building capability, accountability and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Own the commercial and operational performance of Tuthill's global motorsport and events programmes, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and world-class delivery.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting and resource allocation to maximise performance and support future growth.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth, strategic partnerships and new revenue streams.
  • Provide strategic oversight of vehicle readiness, technical operations, logistics and resource planning across all programmes.
  • Establish governance, operational standards and performance measures that drive quality, safety and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders, representing Tuthill at major events and within the wider motorsport community.
  • Work collaboratively across Engineering, Operations, Programme Management and Commercial teams to deliver business priorities.
  • Contribute to wider business strategy and organisational performance as a member of the Senior Management Team.

What We're Looking For:

  • Significant leadership experience within international motorsport, automotive engineering or another high-performance environment.
  • A proven track record of delivering strategic, commercial and operational success.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and developing high-performance cultures.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting and business planning.
  • Excellent technical understanding of race and rally operations, vehicle engineering and programme delivery.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Resilient, organised and decisive, with the ability to balance strategic priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to support global motorsport activities.
