Tusk Studio is a growing motion design and video production studio creating standout branded content and character-driven campaigns. We’re looking for a mid-weight freelance Motion Designer to support an ongoing project with multiple deliverables across the year. There is work ready to start immediately, with the potential for longer-term and full-time collaboration.
This role is motion design–led, with strong storyboarding essential. This is not traditional animation or 3D. The work is 2D, vector-based character animation.
What you’ll do:
- Create clear, well-paced storyboards for branded and character-driven content
- Design and animate motion graphics in After Effects
- Translate scripts and ideas into strong visual sequences
- Support ongoing delivery across multiple assets and formats
- Implement feedback cleanly and efficiently
You should already have experience with:
- Storyboarding for motion design projects
- After Effects as a daily tool
- Working from scripts, briefs, and references
- Frame.io review workflows and feedback rounds
- Adobe Illustrator or similar design tools
Bonus skills:
- Video editing in Premiere Pro
- Moho Pro 14 experience
- Comfortable combining edit + motion timelines
- Experience with social-first or high-volume delivery
