Tusk Studio is a growing motion design and video production studio creating standout branded content and character-driven campaigns. We’re looking for a mid-weight freelance Motion Designer to support an ongoing project with multiple deliverables across the year. There is work ready to start immediately, with the potential for longer-term and full-time collaboration.

This role is motion design–led, with strong storyboarding essential. This is not traditional animation or 3D. The work is 2D, vector-based character animation.

What you’ll do:

  • Create clear, well-paced storyboards for branded and character-driven content
  • Design and animate motion graphics in After Effects
  • Translate scripts and ideas into strong visual sequences
  • Support ongoing delivery across multiple assets and formats
  • Implement feedback cleanly and efficiently

You should already have experience with:

  • Storyboarding for motion design projects
  • After Effects as a daily tool
  • Working from scripts, briefs, and references
  • Frame.io review workflows and feedback rounds
  • Adobe Illustrator or similar design tools

Bonus skills:

  • Video editing in Premiere Pro
  • Moho Pro 14 experience
  • Comfortable combining edit + motion timelines
  • Experience with social-first or high-volume delivery
