Working with a varied portfolio of clients, you'll play a key role in delivering an all-round service, acting as a trusted advisor and supporting the development of more junior team members. This role would suit someone looking to take on greater responsibility and build towards a more senior position in the future.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors
  • Reviewing year-end accounts and corporation tax returns
  • Preparing and reviewing self-assessment tax returns
  • Providing personal and corporate tax advice
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients and building long-term relationships
  • Dealing with HMRC queries and correspondence
  • Reviewing work completed by junior team members and offering support where required
  • Planning workloads and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Promoting exceptional client service to support retention and growth
  • Reporting into managers and senior leaders on portfolio performance

What we're after:

  • ACA / ACCA qualified or qualified by experience with a strong practice background
  • Experience managing a client portfolio independently
  • Strong technical knowledge across accounts and tax
  • Confident using cloud-based systems such as Xero, FreeAgent and QuickBooks
  • Great at building relationships and solving problems
  • Organised, proactive and able to remain calm under pressure
  • Enjoy supporting and developing others within the team

What you will receive:

  • Salary of £40k-£45k depending on experience
  • 22 days holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off, rising to 25 days with service
