Working with a varied portfolio of clients, you'll play a key role in delivering an all-round service, acting as a trusted advisor and supporting the development of more junior team members. This role would suit someone looking to take on greater responsibility and build towards a more senior position in the future.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors
- Reviewing year-end accounts and corporation tax returns
- Preparing and reviewing self-assessment tax returns
- Providing personal and corporate tax advice
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients and building long-term relationships
- Dealing with HMRC queries and correspondence
- Reviewing work completed by junior team members and offering support where required
- Planning workloads and ensuring deadlines are met
- Promoting exceptional client service to support retention and growth
- Reporting into managers and senior leaders on portfolio performance
What we're after:
- ACA / ACCA qualified or qualified by experience with a strong practice background
- Experience managing a client portfolio independently
- Strong technical knowledge across accounts and tax
- Confident using cloud-based systems such as Xero, FreeAgent and QuickBooks
- Great at building relationships and solving problems
- Organised, proactive and able to remain calm under pressure
- Enjoy supporting and developing others within the team
What you will receive:
- Salary of £40k-£45k depending on experience
- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off, rising to 25 days with service
