If you\’re looking to step into a Financial Accountant role where youll actually own the numbers, help shape reporting processes, and be a key voice in the finance team this ones worth a look.

We\’re working with a business that needs someone sharp, structured and quietly confident to keep the month-end engine running smoothly, drive process improvements, and mentor a small AP team along the way. The Head of Finance is exceptional, a contact I have known for a long time and someone I would work for personally.

What you\’ll be doing:

• Leading on month-end & year-end (accruals, reconciliations, cost centre reviews the full works)
• Owning the monthly management reporting pack and submitting it in line with group deadlines
• Keeping the fixed asset register tidy and accurate, liaising with ops on project accounting
• Supporting budget setting and performance tracking
• Managing cashflow reporting and keeping group in the loop on outflows
• Overseeing Accounts Payable and stepping in to problem-solve when needed
• Acting as a calm, capable No.2 to the Head of Finance, and deputising when theyre away

What we\’re looking for:

• Fully qualified (or QBE with strong experience) ACA / ACCA / CIMA or similar
• A steady hand with Excel and finance systems
• Comfortable managing and supporting a small team
• Detail-obsessed, deadline-driven, and quietly brilliant under pressure
• Bonus points if you\’ve had exposure to UK/US GAAP

This is a role for someone who likes to get stuck in, keep things moving, and add value beyond just ticking boxes. Its Lancaster-based with some hybrid working, with a business thats proud of its product and its people.

What you will receive:

Salary £45-£48k

Annual Bonus: Discretionary based on personal & company performance
