Summary: As an Industrial Designer within our Product Design team, you will be designing gaming hardware across all Turtle Beach categories, including controllers, PC Peripherals, simulation hardware, accessories and emerging product areas. This is a hands-on role where you’ll take projects from early concept through to production, working closely with engineering and global teams to bring real products to market. You’ll be part of a collaborative, design-led team with ownership, accountability and the opportunity to influence products used by millions of players worldwide. This role supports hybrid working, balancing time working from home with time in our Langstone office to support collaboration, prototyping and reviews.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Owning industrial design projects from concept through to DFM and production hand off
- Designing gaming hardware that balances user experience, brand, performance and manufacturability
- Producing high quality sketches, visualisations and presentations to communicate design intent
- Building and iterating physical prototypes using foam, clay, 3D printing and rapid mock ups
- Creating detailed CAD models (SolidWorks preferred) and realistic renderings (KeyShot or similar)
- Collaborating closely with engineering, product management and marketing teams
- Supporting design reviews and resolving mechanical, manufacturing and assembly challenges
- Contributing to and evolving a coherent Turtle Beach design language across categories
- Managing multiple projects in parallel across different stages of development
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design or a related discipline
Experience/Skills:
- 5 years’ experience in industrial / product design, ideally within consumer electronics or physical products
- Strong sketching ability and visual storytelling skills
- Solid experience with SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD software)
- Confident hands-on prototyping and model making experience
- Good understanding of DFM, materials and manufacturing processes
- Experience creating compelling renderings and presentation material
- Strong communication skills and confidence working cross-functionally
- A portfolio demonstrating end to end product development, not just concepts
- Experience working on consumer electronics or gaming hardware (desirable)
- A genuine interest in gaming — whether as a player, enthusiast or hardware fan (desirable)
- Exposure to working with manufacturing partners (desirable)
- Willingness to travel occasionally, with opportunities to work with teams in Asia and the US (desirable)
Additional details: Full-time, Permanent. Up to 8% matched pension. Private Health plan. Hybrid working [3 days in the Newport office]. Opportunity to design, develop and ship globally released gaming products.
