The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 £ per year.

A Production Operative’s primary responsibility will be to assemble the product to the specification of the customer and liaise with the Engineering team when required. The role is based at our site in Gateshead and reports into the Manufacturing Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • To carry out assembly work independently to ensure production targets are met on a daily basis in order to supply the customer with a quality proven product.
  • Work to understand and follow engineering drawings and standard work instructions.
  • Complete basic paperwork using PCs and database systems.
  • Complex quality checks to ensure quality products are shipped to customers.
  • Ensure work area is prepared for the next day, including housekeeping, materials, and build information.
  • Liaise with engineering regarding build and test issues.
  • Carry out Evo Motor build training for new operators.
  • Assist engineering team with dyno testing.
  • Comply with all relevant HSE legislation, local policies, and procedures.

The Requirements

  • Able to follow instructions and production schedules.
  • Able to act quickly when a problem arises.

Bonus Points

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment (full training will be given).
  • Experience of motor building processes and procedures, stator winding, stacking, and building.
  • Electrical IPC awareness – wiring.
  • ESD Awareness, handling PCB boards.
  • Experience of Battery building and manufacturing (energy storage solutions).
  • Hand assembly tooling skills.

Qualifications

  • A recognised qualification is required to demonstrate proficiency in key skills: English Literature, English Language, Maths, and ICT.
  • Relevant experience could also be considered.
