Job Description

Help Engineering Teams Work Smarter, Plan Better, and Deliver Faster

Do you enjoy turning complex delivery data into meaningful insights? Love improving how teams plan, prioritise, and execute work? Get excited about dashboards, workflows, metrics, tooling, and helping organizations operate more effectively at scale? We’re looking for a Technology Analyst – PMO to help evolve how Engineering plans, tracks, measures, and delivers work across a fast-moving SaaS engineering organization. This is not a traditional “status reporting PMO” role.

You’ll operate at the intersection of:

  • Operational analytics
  • Tool optimization
  • Process improvement
  • Executive reporting

You’ll partner directly with Engineering and Product leaders to improve visibility, streamline workflows, define meaningful metrics, and help create scalable ways of working that support high-performing teams. If you enjoy combining data, systems thinking, and operational problem solving — this role was built for you.

What You’ll Be Working On

Planning & Delivery Analysis

You’ll help Engineering leaders answer questions like:

  • Are teams realistically aligned to delivery goals?
  • Where are delivery risks emerging?
  • What dependencies could impact execution?
  • How predictable is delivery performance?
  • Where are bottlenecks slowing teams down?

You’ll support quarterly and annual planning processes by:

  • Analysing demand, capacity, and delivery forecasts
  • Identifying portfolio-level risks and dependencies
  • Providing delivery insights that improve decision-making

Delivery Metrics & Operational Intelligence

You’ll help define how Engineering measures effectiveness and delivery health. You’ll work on:

  • Throughput and predictability metrics
  • Delivery health reporting
  • Cycle time and flow analysis
  • Executive reporting and operational storytelling

Most importantly, you’ll turn operational data into insights leaders can actually use. We rely heavily on the Atlassian ecosystem and related delivery tooling to support Engineering operations and planning.

You’ll help:

  • Improve Jira and Confluence workflows
  • Standardise data structures and reporting models
  • Improve dashboard consistency and visibility
  • Support governance and documentation practices
  • Align tooling with how Engineering teams actually work

You’ll partner closely with IT, Product, and Engineering teams to reduce friction and improve operational clarity. This role is ideal for someone who naturally asks: “There has to be a better way to do this.”

You’ll identify opportunities to improve:

  • Work intake processes
  • Reporting practices
  • Delivery visibility

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

Experience In Areas Like:

  • PMO or Portfolio Operations
  • Engineering Operations
  • Technical Program Support
  • Delivery Analytics
  • Agile Planning & Reporting
  • SaaS or software engineering environments

Familiarity With Tools Like:

  • Jira
  • Confluence
  • Jellyfish
  • CI/CD and DevOps tooling
  • Google Workspace
  • Data analysis and visualisation
  • Workflow/process optimisation
  • Cross-functional facilitation
  • Portfolio and roadmap reporting

No specific degree required — we value practical experience, analytical thinking, curiosity, and the ability to improve how organizations operate.

The Kind of Person Who Thrives Here

Accountability

You take ownership, follow through, and help teams stay aligned on outcomes. You find solutions, simplify complexity, and improve how work gets done — even when constraints exist. You communicate clearly, build relationships easily, and can align teams without relying on authority. You’re comfortable helping teams evolve processes, tools, and ways of working in dynamic environments.

Why This Role Is Exciting

This is an opportunity to help shape how Engineering planning and operational governance evolves in a modern SaaS organization. You’ll work directly with Engineering leadership, influence strategic planning conversations, improve operational visibility at scale, and help create smarter, more data-driven ways of working across the organization. You won’t just track delivery — you’ll help improve it.

If This Sounds Like You…

If you enjoy combining analytics, systems thinking, tooling, and operational improvement to help Engineering organizations perform at their best — we’d love to talk to you.
