The Role: As the Product Manager for ExamSoft Insights, you will manage a suite of data and reporting workflows within Turnitin’s assessment products. ExamSoft is an assessment platform combining secure assessment with rich data and reporting to enable customers to assess exam-taker performance. The reporting platform is a critical part of this value proposition, helping customers advance their educational missions and professional goals.
As Product Manager, you will collaborate with UX, engineering, customers, sales, marketing, and support to ensure successful delivery of features that align with our business goals and meet customer needs. The ideal candidate understands educational technology and user needs in academic settings, and has a proven ability to drive product development for mature products. This role will work with other Product Managers to contribute to the platform’s success across domains and projects. We seek a talented communicator who can translate customer needs into technical requirements and detailed backlogs. As a remote employee, the role requires strong collaboration, self-motivation, and the ability to build relationships via synchronous and asynchronous tools.
Responsibilities- Work closely with key stakeholders to inform, develop, and maintain the product strategy and roadmap for new reporting capabilities in ExamSoft
- Collaborate with UX, engineering, and QA to identify and manage requirements, build core capabilities, and address unique needs
- Support engineering with clear, detailed requirements for product features and enhancements
- Define, manage, and report on roadmap status for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market needs
- Analyze user feedback, data, and market trends to refine and improve product offerings
- Ensure compliance with accessibility standards, data privacy regulations, and interoperability requirements
- Coordinate across teams to support releases, ensuring accurate market messaging, streamlined onboarding, and responsive support
Essential:
- 3-5 years of Product Management or equivalent experience
- Bachelor\\\'s degree or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience with Agile software development methodologies and managing product backlogs
- Ability to partner with engineering to scope, plan, prioritize, and ensure efficient delivery of product features
- Experience working directly with customers to gather feedback, validate requirements, and ensure post-release product satisfaction
- Experience collaborating with sales, marketing, customer success, and executives to align product delivery with business strategy
- Strong analytical skills with experience using metrics to drive product decisions
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a remote-first environment
Desired:
- Bachelor and/or advanced degree in a related field (Computer Science, Business Administration, instructional design, etc)
- Understanding of the educational technology landscape and LMS systems such as Instructure Canvas, Blackboard Learn, D2L Brightspace, Moodle, Schoology, and others
- Experience presenting product releases or roadmaps at industry shows, webinars, and internal meetings
- UX design familiarity with hands-on experience creating wireframes and workflow diagrams
- Experience with APIs, LTI standards, and other integration technologies
- Track record of delivering software products that integrate with third-party platforms
