Job Description

As a Product Manager on the platform services team, you will be required to be a hands‑on Product Manager working across products and teams as part of ‘One Team’. You will be primarily responsible for defining requirements for both new and existing foundational services, crafting a shared vision via a product roadmap and facilitating projects with your engineering partners throughout the software development lifecycle.

You will be expected to consider aspects like interoperability, performance and business cost/impact when working with your engineering partners to scope new features, capabilities and services. Strong ability to work with cross‑functional teams as well as collaborate with other Product Managers and stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with Engineering and other Product leads to define product requirements and lead implementation and rollout.
  • Remove roadblocks, and quickly respond to change/uncertainty through articulating options, implications, and outcomes that inform strategic decision making.
  • Business Analysis activities including the creation and management of backlogs, epics and user stories.
  • Facilitating team planning, refinement and retrospective sessions.
  • Support the team in remediation of implementation/adoption related blockers.
  • Create alignment across work tracks with a shared product vision and roadmap.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications, Skills, & Knowledge/Experience

  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst/Product Owner/Product Manager or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs, and evaluate opportunistic innovative ideas with technical and non‑technical partners.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations.
  • Proven success in Agile development and product ownership competencies including experience with JIRA (or equivalent) systems for backlog management, project status and work tracking.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, & Knowledge/Experience

  • CSPO or equivalent product management qualifications.
  • Experience in Micro Frontend and Shared Services deliverables.
  • Experience in low‑fidelity prototyping to aid early brainstorming with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading complex digital products in a fast‑moving environment involving multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience with managing a technical roadmap for service level deliverables.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and relationship management skills.
  • Understanding of the educational technology landscape including Knowledge of or experience with LMS systems such as Blackboard, Canvas, Desire to Learn, Moodle, Schoology, and others.
