Job Overview
The Team Lead, UKI Sales will be a player/coach role, supporting Further Education, Secondary Education, Training/Apprenticeship provider and Awarding Body sectors across our product portfolio within the UKI market. Alongside individually managing new business for the Further Education, Training/Apprenticeship Provider and Awarding Body sectors you will oversee a small team of Account Executives and Customer Success Managers spanning the mentioned sectors, overseeing the daily execution of the sales strategy and achievement of KPIs. This role is pivotal in supporting and executing the overall UKI sales strategy alongside the Snr Sales Manager, through meeting individual targets, driving team performance, coaching and collaboration. The ideal candidate is a sales professional looking to progress into a leadership role. Passionate about education and technology, highly collaborative, and capable of working strategically and tactically to deliver measurable results.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and coach a small team of Account Executives and Customer Success Managers (CSMs), ensuring they meet KPIs.
- Contribute and support in the execution of the UKI sales strategy alongside the Snr Sales Manager UKI.
- Conduct regular 1:1s.
- Oversee the management of the SE and FE pipeline.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and internal Sales teams and relay market feedback.
- Drive new business growth within the further education, training/apprenticeship provider and awarding body sectors.
- Own the full sales cycle: From prospecting to negotiation and close, with disciplined pipeline management, forecasting, and account planning.
- Expand existing relationships: Partner with Customer Success and Marketing to uncover cross-sell opportunities that deepen customer value.
- Meet and exceed individual KPIs.
- Maintain accurate reporting: Document sales activity, pipeline, forecasts, and metrics in Salesforce and other systems to inform business strategy.
- Leverage data and insights: Use CRM, usage analytics, and market intelligence to optimize territory strategy.
- Stay informed: Keep up-to-date on industry trends, educational legislation, and territory-specific opportunities.
- Monitor and analyse team performance metrics.
- Ensure adherence to best practices, processes, and playbooks to drive consistent and scalable outcomes.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in an account manager, account executive or customer success role, preferably within the education sector.
- Consultative seller.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally.
- Proven track record in achieving and exceeding KPIs.
- Confident working with CRM (preferably Salesforce), Google Drive/Sheets/Docs/Slides, Zoom and other sales enablement tools.
- Confident in analyzing data to make strategic decisions.
- Strong interest in developing coaching and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with Salesforce.com and other sales enablement tools.
- Self-starter with a growth mindset, resilience, and collaborative spirit.
- BA/BS degree required.
