Job Description
Help Build the Future of Engineering Operations. Do you love solving messy operational problems, making sense of complex systems, and building scalable ways of working where none currently exist? We’re looking for a Technology Analyst – Operations to help shape and mature Engineering Operations within a large-scale SaaS environment. This isn’t a “keep the lights on” operations role — it’s an opportunity to help define how operational excellence works across Engineering.
You’ll partner with Engineering, DevOps, Product, and Support teams to improve application health visibility, service reliability, operational analytics, and core operational processes like Incident, Problem, and Change Management. If you get excited about dashboards, telemetry, system behavior, operational trends, process design, automation, AI-enabled workflows, and turning chaos into clarity — this role was built for you.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Improve Application Health & Reliability
- You’ll help Engineering teams answer critical questions like:
- Is the application healthy?
- Are services degrading before customers notice?
- What operational signals matter most?
- How do we reduce noise while improving visibility?
- You’ll work with observability and monitoring platforms to:
- Build dashboards and service health reporting
- Analyze operational trends and performance patterns
- Improve alert quality and escalation logic
- Support implementation of APM and telemetry capabilities
- Help Engineering teams operationalize reliability practices
- Build Operational Processes That Engineers Actually Want to Use
- We’re standing up modern Engineering Operations practices — and we want pragmatic, lightweight processes that help teams move faster, not slower.
- You’ll help define and improve:
- Incident Management
- Problem Management
- Change Management
- Operational governance practices
- Service reliability workflows
- This role sits at the intersection of:
- Engineering systems
- Operational analytics
- Process design
- Cross-functional collaboration
- You’ll help reduce fragmentation across tools and workflows while improving operational visibility across the organization.
- We’re especially interested in candidates excited about modern operational tooling and emerging technologies, including:
- AI-enabled operations
- Intelligent workflows
- Automation opportunities
- AI agents and operational copilots
- Advanced telemetry and observability practices
What Success Looks Like
You’re someone who:
- Creates structure in ambiguous environments
- Thinks in systems, not silos
- Uses data to drive decisions
- Communicates clearly across technical and non-technical audiences
- Balances pragmatism with long-term scalability
- Can influence teams without relying on formal authority
You’re comfortable asking: “How can we make this operationally better, simpler, and more scalable?”
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
Technical & Operational Experience
You likely have experience in one or more of the following:
- Engineering Operations
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
- Technical Operations
- Operational Analytics
- SaaS or Cloud Operations
Familiarity With Tools & Concepts Like:
- Jira Service Management
- Grafana
- CloudWatch
- OpenSearch / Elasticsearch
- Prometheus
- Observability & telemetry platforms
- Incident / Problem / Change Management
Additional Skills We’d Love
- SQL and operational data analysis
- APIs and system integrations
- AWS or cloud platform experience
- Data visualization and dashboarding
- AI tooling, automation, or AI agents
- Atlassian ecosystem experience (Jira, Confluence, Assets)
No specific degree required — we value practical experience, curiosity, technical aptitude, and operational thinking.
Why This Role Is Exciting
This is a chance to help build Engineering Operations capabilities from the ground up in a complex, modern SaaS environment. You won’t inherit rigid processes and decades of bureaucracy. You’ll help create scalable operational practices that improve reliability, visibility, and engineering effectiveness across the organization.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Influence operational strategy
- Work across Engineering leadership
- Improve platform reliability at scale
- Build meaningful operational intelligence
- Shape how modern Engineering Operations evolves
If This Sounds Like You…
If you enjoy connecting systems, data, process, and people — and want to help build operational maturity in a fast-moving engineering organization — we’d love to talk to you.
