Job Description

Reports To:Sr. Manager, Customer Education

Turnitin is seeking an Instructional Designer who will be responsible for creating engaging, innovative, and interactive onboarding education content for our customers. As a member of the Customer Education team, you’ll be part of a team that cares deeply about creating learning experiences that deliver delight and value at scale. You’ll create learning experiences designed to excite and motivate our customers to deepen their expertise and engagement with Turnitin. We want our customers to not only become Turnitin experts, but champions of our brand.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Design and develop self-paced, educational offerings that focus on product functionality, best practices, and change management to drive customer product adoption, self-sufficiency, renewal, and advocacy
  • Employ a scalable, iterative, rapid-development approach and strong instructional design principles to build creative and innovative educational content
  • Design performance-based, measurable assessments which directly align to learning objectives
  • Ensure that all learning assets meet consistency, quality and design standards
  • Execute end-to-end instructional design process with a sense of urgency and drive for excellence
  • Employ strong project management and organizational skills to achieve design target timelines under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities
  • Actively collaborate with internal teams and continuously learn about product functionality, releases, work-flows and best practices to maintain and enhance education content
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the various customer personas and use cases and continuously provide perspective on problems customers face and translate into education solutions

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience designing, creating and delivering end-user product training
  • 2+ years experience with course authoring tools (Articulate Storyline/360, Captivate) to create engaging training content
  • 2+ years experience creating and publishing content in an LMS platform (Skilljar preferred)
  • Employ solid instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies to create scalable, dynamic, performance focused learning solutions
  • Results driven and ability to manage projects amidst ambiguity, competing priorities, and challenging deadlines
