Overview
The Revenue Accounting team plays a critical role within the Finance department ensuring accurate and compliant revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606. Our focus is on delivering high-quality audit-ready financial data that reflects the company’s performance and supports key strategic decisions.
Key Customers
Key customers of this role include the FP&A team, Commercial Finance, Sales Ops, Legal, AR, and External Auditors. Internally the Senior Revenue Accountant will work cross-functionally with Deal Desk, Order Management, Sales serving as a subject matter expert on revenue-related matters and guiding them on appropriate treatment for complex deals and contract terms.

Responsibilities
- Assist in monthly revenue accounting close activities by preparing journal entries and performing key account reconciliations including related to revenue deferred, revenue unbilled receivables.
- Assist with revenue reporting and analysis by monitoring customer usage.
- Review standard and non-standard contracts to determine the appropriate revenue recognition under U.S. GAAP ensuring the company is compliant with revenue recognition principles under ASC 606.
- Assist in the order to cash process reviewing submitted sales orders in our accounting system to ensure proper revenue recognition and compliance.
- Manage and maintain NetSuite ARM to ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 data validation reconciliation processes data flows.
- Work cross-functionally within the organization to drive automation efforts to streamline accounting operations related to revenue accounting and improve the quality of monthly, quarterly and annual closes.
- Work directly with our sales, customer success, revenue operations and FP&A teams to obtain needed data and reporting to support monthly revenue entries.
- Develop, maintain and continuously improve internal process documentation to ensure clarity, consistency and operational efficiency across teams.
- Perform special technical projects, analysis and ad hoc reporting.
- Play a key role throughout the company financial audit preparing & reviewing revenue related schedules for external auditors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or ACCA/CIMA qualified or progress toward certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience ideally in SaaS revenue accounting with a focus on ASC 606 (desirable but not essential).
- Proficiency with ERP and revenue tools (e.g. NetSuite, Salesforce, CPQ).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support both strategic and hands-on work.
