As a Lead Support Worker, you will work closely with the Team Manager to drive quality and consistency with the support we provide. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will help coordinate shifts, carry out audits, and assess staff competencies to ensure outstanding care.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate shifts, carry out audits and assess staff competencies to maintain high-quality care.
  • Train new support workers in best practices and procedures.
  • Lead involvement initiatives across the home, ensuring the people we support remain at the heart of our working.
  • Observe support workers, provide feedback and mentoring to support their development and competency completion.
  • Support colleagues in the use of assistive technology to enable the people you support to live independently.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport within the team.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to act as a role model to new colleagues and support workers.
  • Knowledge of learning disabilities and complex needs is desirable but not essential.

Shift Patterns

This is a 24-hour service, so flexibility is essential. You will work a range of shifts including early mornings, late evenings, waking nights, sleep-ins and some weekends.

Benefits
