Do you want to help build a brighter future for communities and individuals in Bath and North East Somerset doing a highly rewarding job? Turning Point's drug recovery services are looking for individuals who share our values. Please note that this role isn't a hybrid role and you will be part of an assertive outreach model within the team, with early morning outreach 3 times a week on a rota basis, which will involve a 6.30am start from Bath City Centre.

The Ideal Candidate

  • You will have an understanding of substance and alcohol use and the challenges and opportunities for individuals on a recovery journey.
  • We recognise that many people have transferable skills from other backgrounds such as mental health, housing, or other health and social care provision.
  • Flexibility and the ability to work dynamically on a one-to-one and group basis are vital.
  • Knowledge of relapse and other barriers to recovery will be important, but we can help to shape these skills where needed.
  • Excellent communication skills and alignment with our organisational values are essential.
  • While not essential, experience in housing/homelessness is desirable.
  • We value individual creativity and initiative; you will be fully involved in identifying opportunities to improve the quality of our services and the service user experience.
  • Your ideas will be listened to and your suggestions implemented wherever possible.
  • You will be supported in your role by extensive training to help develop your skills.
