An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Safeguarding Manager to join Horizons, a vibrant new partnership delivering substance use treatment and recovery services in Bristol. Horizons is delivered in partnership between Turning Point, Bristol Drugs Project, and seven other local and national partners. The partnership combines Turning Point\’s experience as an outstanding national substance use provider together with Bristol Drugs Project\’s long history of excellent service delivery in the city.

Role Responsibility

To assist in delivering Turning Point\’s Substance Misuse strategy within an integrated service which reflects our person centred values and the high levels of ambition we have both for the recovery of the individuals for whom we provide support and the development of our own staff. This is done by assisting the Deputy Operations Manager in leading, developing and co-ordinating the Children and Adult Safeguarding practices to ensure the delivery of high quality, innovative and cost effective care.

The Ideal Candidate

An inspiring role model, we\’ll expect you to already have experience of Safeguarding within a drug and alcohol setting. Building relationships with colleagues, commissioners and service users alike will be a big part of what you do, we\’re also looking for a Safeguarding Lead who can confidently engage, challenge and influence people.

Experience of representing the Service at Multi-disciplinary meetings where the voice and needs of those most vulnerable and at risk should be paramount to shaping practice and service.
