Turning Point is a national leading health and social care organisation, supporting more than 200,000 people each year across England. For over 60 years, we have worked alongside individuals, families and communities to enable people to live the lives they choose, tackling health inequalities and delivering lasting social impact. With over 5,300 colleagues and services spanning mental health, substance use, learning disability, sexual health and wellbeing, Turning Point continues to grow in scale and ambition, with turnover exceeding £200m.

We are now seeking a Non-Executive Director with a strong finance background to join our Board at a pivotal moment in the organisation’s development. This is a critical role, bringing independent financial insight, commercial acumen and strategic judgement to support the Executive Team and fellow Trustees. You will help shape Turning Point’s long-term financial strategy, strengthen oversight of risk, assurance and controls, and support confident, values-led decision-making in a complex and evolving health and social care landscape. From January 2027, the postholder will also assume the role of Chair of the Audit Committee, playing a central role in ensuring robust financial governance and accountability.

Responsibilities include providing financial oversight, contributing to governance and risk management, and supporting the Board in strategic decision-making to advance the organisation’s mission.

We are looking for an experienced board-level leader with strong financial and risk management expertise, a clear understanding of governance within a complex national organisation, and a strong commitment to Turning Point’s vision, values and public benefit. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to help shape the future of Turning Point, and we welcome expressions of interest from individuals with a wide and diverse range of personal backgrounds.
