We are recruiting a Senior Substance Use Mental Health (SUMH) Nurse (RMN) to join our Wakefield Integrated Substance Use Service.
Responsibilities
- Provide mental health expertise within a multi-disciplinary substance use team
- Build strong links with community mental health teams and external partners
- Support complex case management, including advocacy and escalation where needed
- Attend and contribute to multi‑agency meetings for clients with complex needs
- Work closely with clinical leads, including the Principal Clinical Psychologist
- Help shape and improve service delivery to ensure high‑quality care
Qualifications
- Qualified RMN registered with the NMC
- Experience in mental health services (substance use experience desirable)
- Confident working with individuals with complex needs
- Strong communication and partnership‑working skills
- Demonstrates empathy, resilience and a person‑centred approach
- A minimum of two years’ experience working within a mental health setting is required for this role
