Overview
Turning Point is a large Social Enterprise supporting around 100,000 marginalised and disadvantaged people across the country each year.
We need a passionate and experienced person to take on the role of Insight Performance & Data Manager for our Somerset Substance Use Treatment Service, as part of our Insight team.
The role is based at our Yeovil service but allows for hybrid working.
The interviews will be held remotely on Thursday 2nd October 2025.
Responsibilities
- Respond to regular and ad-hoc reporting requirements which cover varied audiences from team level to senior management team and up to commissioner level.
- Help find ways to showcase performance and celebrate the great work our services and staff deliver, looking beyond commissioner and contract KPIs and into best practice.
- Demonstrate the ability to get the best out of teams, using leadership and influencing skills.
- Research and understand the social value of the work we do, alongside that of local, regional and sector competitors.
- Make recommendations and suggestions on where our services and organisation should go.
- Provide information to improve operational effectiveness and, consequently, the quality of lives for the people we support.
- Prepare and manage large-volume data, navigate databases and Excel to compile engaging data that drives performance and communicates value for the service, staff and service users.
- Convert complex problems into manageable, bite-sized solutions in collaboration with others inside or outside the organisation.
- Experience with client management systems is advantageous, particularly in supporting service processes and improving data quality.
- Experience in line management or supervision of direct reports is desirable, especially in supporting team development, performance management and day-to-day coordination.
- You do not need to have experience working in health and social care or with substance misuse and public health data sets, though knowledge in these areas would be advantageous.

- Experience in preparation and handling of large-volume data and the ability to navigate databases and Excel to produce engaging data.
- Ability to convert complex problems into clear, actionable solutions.
- Strong collaboration skills to agree the logical/best approach with others inside or outside the organisation.
