We are looking for a talented Independent Non-Medical Prescriber Nurse (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber to work within our community-based substance use services in the City of London and Hackney.

The service is delivered in partnership with Mind CHWF and London Friend, focusing on partnership working throughout the service to support those in the local community who need assistance to achieve their goals. We deliver treatment and support across the neighbourhoods, ensuring a holistic and inclusive approach to recovery.

As an NMP Nurse or Pharmacist Prescriber, you’ll have the chance to make a real difference to the lives of the people we support who are experiencing difficulties from drugs and alcohol use, working with them to develop personal, flexible, and realistic support packages. We are currently recruiting for 1 Full-time NMP, 1 Fixed-term 6-month contract NMP, and a permanent Outreach NMP. As an Outreach Non-Medical Prescriber, you will be required to work peripatetically, including working out in the communities and partnership hubs with flexibility of coming to site the same day if required.

As a community-based Non-Medical Prescriber Nurse (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber in a busy prescribing service, you will be involved with opiate substitute treatment, alcohol and opiate detoxifications, and relapse prevention medications. You will also provide support to the nursing team, offering Blood Borne Virus screening and vaccinations, and will work closely with mental health, physical health, and social care services. You'll help create a collaborative approach that links Turning Point closer to outside professionals and agencies. Some Outreach work will be required in the wider community.

You will need to be an excellent communicator, able to develop creative, flexible, and tailored support packages for each individual.
